(:title "Epiacenter.com - The Mini-ITX Professionals":) The VIA VT-310DP is the latest in VIA's growing line of highly acclaimed Mini-ITX mainboards and introduces dual processing power and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity to the Mini-ITX form factor for the first time. Combined with the VIA CN400 digital media chipset, the VIA VT310 DP enables the development of a wealth of high density, low power consumption, fanless, and embedded applications to be implemented in small form factor or node farm configurations with extensive processing resources. -> http://www.epiacenter.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=82 to:
(:title "Epiacenter.com - Review of VT-310 DP":)-> http://www.epiacenter.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=82 The VT-310 DP offers the ability to produce a custom solutions for server issues. Unfortunately CPU speed and RAM performance is still not drastically improved - as the board does not have the new CN700 chipset, or quicker 1.xxGHz C7 CPU. And if you do choose the VT-310 DP you may also find yourself disappointed in the noise of the system - due to the CPU fan. The compact size means it's suitable for a variety of systems, a compact cube case, or a custom solution. The extremely reliable system allows you to use the board as a permanently switched on server / router / firewall / etc. The number of ports and expansion possibilities lets you customise your system to suit you. Pros: Small, Very Stable, Good Linux support, Provides excellent flexibility, Awesome Padlock engine, Great new possibilities with dual-processing. Cons: Noisy Fan, Slow Ram Performance and the horrible upside down network connector which nearly broke my finger :( July 20, 2006, at 12:21 AM
